CLASSES
We currently offer classes for beginners through advanced players in a variety of styles and techniques. Apprenticeship is also offered for Taiko players who wish to become a member of Maikaze Daiko and have the opportunity to perform the works of Taiko Artist, Bruce "Mui" Ghent. Currently our classes are offered at our Oakland Dojo. All classes are taught or supervised by Sensei - Bruce "Mui" Ghent. Contact us for more info!

Environment Our lineage comes from the Tanaka-Style of Taiko
(Grandmaster Seiichi Tanaka of San Francisco Taiko Dojo) of which Bruce "Mui" Ghent was a disciple and has been honored as an "Outstanding (Distinguished) Alumnus". As such, we observe proper dojo etiquette balanced with Mui-Sensei's approach of mutual respect and fun with sprinkles of liberally applied humor.
